850 Students Enroll in 'My Scary World'

The Global Trade and Logistics Sector and CITD of the Interior East Bay, under the “Doing What Matters” initiative, announced today that Valley View Middle School will become the first SF Bay Area school to navigate ‘My Scary World.’ An interactive web platform disguised as an engaging video game, MyScaryWorld.com helps 7th and 8th graders navigate the alien territory of college and career possibility.

On March 6, 2015, the Global Trade and Logistics sector and CITD of the Interior East Bay under the "Doing What Matters" initiative kicked off its Inaugural Global Edu-Preneur Summit, at John F. Kennedy University in Pleasant Hill, CA. The complimentary event for invited guests kicked off at 8 am with continental breakfast followed by a full day of academic, industry and political speakers, showcasing best practices, tips, tools and showcasing successful classrooms and collaboration efforts between the academic and business communities. We followed up with the Summit’s 90+ registered participants and asked for ratings of the event, to help us plan an even better 2nd Annual Summit next year.
