Birch Early

On behalf of the Alameda County Workforce Investment Board (ACWIB), I work with businesses throughout the county to connect them to programs and incentives to help them grow and thrive.

Much of my focus is on green/cleantech and biotech businesses and advanced manufacturers. I connect small, medium and large businesses with resources available to them to hire and train new staff, to train existing staff, and to help address skills gaps they identify in the workforce. I am currently conducting a Workforce Needs Assesment with businesses throughout our county in key industry sectors such as energy, healthcare, transportation and logistics, life sciences, construction and information and communications technology.

ACWIB works in partnership with bay area government, economic development agencies, local One Stop Career Centers, community colleges and others to help businesses find, retain and train qualified staff and help overcome barriers to growth.

My work with businesses is enhanced by my broad background in human resources and sustainability issues, training and experience in finding a job in the current job market, project management skills and work with a wide variety of stakeholders in motivating behavior change.

I'm an experienced public speaker and motivator, adept at written and oral communications. At the end of the day, I remain a passionate advocate of local business/job growth and economic development in our vibrant and endlessly innovative Bay Area economy.
